Digging Deep

I love a project with a theme- Digging Deep Necklace is a reflection on an interest in geology the earth compacting, burying, decomposing, creating new matter. Ice, grass, mud, rock, ash have had direct influence on my colour choices and I love the balance that has been created. I have been researched about glass beads and the first glassmakers used crushed quartz pebbles, desert plant ash, and lime to lower the melting temperature of the quartz to make colours.
